Our students of the Spanish program for Chinese students in Buenos Aires enjoyed a day in full sun touring the most important icons of Avenida de Mayo.
Our Spanish courses in Buenos Aires include cultural activities. The purpose is to complete the learning of Spanish with a total experience of cultural immersion in our city. On this occasion we chose the destinations because of the close relationship with the contents seen in class.
The visit began at the Museum of the Casa Rosada, known as the Bicentennial Museum. Here, students could appreciate a small image of colonial Buenos Aires up close. Then they continued their walk through the Plaza de Mayo and enjoyed the visit to the Cabildo. Then, they undertook the return to the CUI by Avenida de Mayo, stopping at explanations about the impressive and historic buildings such as the Barolo Palace and the Café 36 Billares, among others.
We thank the teachers Lucy Artola and Andrea Giliberti for accompanying our students. This was an interesting activity that allowed them to continue learning and practicing Spanish outside of the classroom in a fun environment.
