The students of the Spanish Program for Chinese students in Buenos Aires made an educational visit to the National Congress.
At CUI we believe that to learn Spanish in Buenos Aires is much more than learning a language. It is absorbing the local culture and expanding your understanding of the language. That is why CUI’s Spanish programs include cultural activities outside the classroom that are specially selected and planned according to the interests and levels of Spanish of the students. The objective is not only to practice and use the Spanish language outside the classroom in a more fun and relaxed environment. It’s also to learn more about the culture of Buenos Aires.
The tour to Congreso
The tour began before going out to the street. In the classroom, the students saw the virtual tour and read the informative brochure. Then, the day began walking through the neighborhood of the school and the mythical building. They recognized streets and other buildings on the way to the National Congress. They walked Av. De Mayo and Av. Rivadavia to the Plaza Congreso, passing through La Inmobiliaria, the Barolo palace, the Liceo Theater. The walk ended in the Library of Congress hall to begin the guided tour of the Palacio del Congreso. The goal is to put in knowledge both the architectural characteristics of the Palace and its functions, its history and its operation. At the end of the walk, the students received a copy of the Argentine Constitution.
